EMBO 2019 Workshop on Fission Yeast 10th International Meeting
Date: From 14th until 19th July 2019
The International Fission Yeast Meeting is held every other year rotating between Europe, Asia and North America. It has become a ‘must go’ meeting for fission yeast researchers, and nearly all laboratories of this community are represented. The 10th Fission Yeast meeting in 2019 will be held in Barcelona (Spain).
This EMBO Workshop will cover a broad range of biological processes currently being studied in this model organism, including DNA and chromosome homeostasis (repair, recombination, replication, centromeres and telomeres), cell morphology and polarity, mitosis and cytokinesis, meiotic differentiation, cell-cycle checkpoints, chromatin and gene regulation, silencing and RNAi, signal transduction, environmental stress responses, genomics/proteomics as well as high throughput screening and tools/resources. The participants will therefore encompass a broad range of expertise in experimental approaches, including genetics, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology and microscopy as well as ‘omics’, systems-level and computational methods. Many talks will be selected from submitted abstracts to increase the proportion of junior speakers.
Please note that the conference is located a 15 minute subway ride from our Apartments Freser 78. Enjoy your stay while you work and feel at home.
